Multisite Behavior When Adding Project Sites
When you add more than one project site, the system will automatically enable Multisite, meaning the project will now behave like a multi-location project across modules like Budget, Contracts, Invoicing, and more.
Here's how it works:
-
Multisite activates as soon as a second site is added to the project.
-
You won’t see any visual change in the project layout, but the system will begin requiring site-specific inputs in related modules.
If your project is already Multisite, any additional sites you add through Project Settings will:
-
Automatically appear as new sections in the Project Budget, under their site name.
-
These new site sections will appear empty by default—no cost codes, categories, or values will be populated until you manually assign a budget template or input data.
👉 You can learn more about how this impacts other modules by visiting the Multisite Overview article.
