Creating a Sub RFI
Streamline Communication Between Subcontractors and General Contractors with Direct RFI Submissions.
Overview
The Sub RFI feature allows subcontractors to efficiently submit Requests for Information (RFIs) directly to the General Contractor within the system, simplifying the communication process and ensuring that vital project details are addressed in a timely manner.
Prerequisites
You must be a user in a Subcontractor Workspace type to create and submit Sub RFIs.
Process
Creating a Sub RFI
-
Within the project, scroll down to the RFIs module from the left-hand menu.
-
Click + Add New RFI.
-
Fill out the required fields and specify any relevant information.
-
You can propose a solution, indicate any cost or schedule impacts, and add references such as drawing sheets or files.
Note: your specified RFI Manager will receive the RFI when you click Submit.
Visibility
-
If you Save the RFI as Draft, the RFI will only be visible to you and users within your workspace who have access to your project.
-
If you Submit the RFI, it will become visible to the RFI Manager and users within the RFI Manager's workspace who have access to that project.
By allowing subcontractors to easily submit RFIs within the system, you simplify the process of gathering and addressing important information.
