Getting started with collaborating on INGENIOUS.BUILD

Overview

When invited to collaborate on a project in INGENIOUS.BUILD, you'll receive an email invitation that guides you through setting up your workspace and joining the project. Once your workspace is created, you'll land directly on the project or item you were invited to.

Process

Accepting the Invitation

  1. Check your email for the INGENIOUS.BUILD invitation. The wording may vary depending on how you were invited.

  2. Open the email and click Accept Invitation or View Details to begin registration.

  3. Set up your profile:

    • On the registration webpage, click Continue.

    • Enter your name and create a password.

    • Agree to the Terms and Conditions.

  4. Invite team members who will work on the project, or skip this step and add them later.

  5. Enter your workspace and company information, then click Continue.

  6. Wait for workspace configuration — this may take up to a minute. Do not refresh or navigate away from the page.

  7. Once configuration is complete, you'll be directed to the project or item you were invited to.

Troubleshooting workspace setup

If you're having trouble creating your workspace, check the following:

  • Confirm there is no punctuation in the domain address you choose.

  • Confirm there is no punctuation in the workspace name.

  • Confirm the subdomain name you select is available. If it's already taken, a red warning message appears below it, and you'll need to choose a different subdomain.

Helpful Tips

  • Use Google Chrome for the best experience. Bookmark auth.ingenious.build/login for quick access.

  • Whitelist our email address. Add postmaster@mail.ingenious.build to your contacts to ensure you receive all notifications from INGENIOUS.BUILD.

  • Administrator access. As the creator of your workspace, you'll be an Administrator by default. This gives you access to all workspace features and modules, including the ability to invite teammates and assign permissions.

  • Main Dashboard navigation. After logging in, you'll land on the Main Dashboard. To view all your projects, click Projects → Projects, or See All under the Recent Projects tab.

  • Notifications Center. Check the Notifications Center for project-related alerts.

  • Unlock additional features. If you were invited through a contract, click Start Project to access Change Orders, Invoices, and more.
