How to Create Templates for Bid Packages
How to create Q&A, Project Scopes, Service Assumptions, and Terms and Conditions templates that can be reused across bid packages.
Overview
Templates within Proposals let you save reusable content and attachments in your workspace and reference them across bid package RFPs. This reduces double entry and keeps standard information consistent across projects. All workspace types have access to these templates, and templates can be used on any project's bid package across the workspace.
Prerequisites
-
Administrator or Project Executive account, or the user must be assigned to the Proposal to use the templates.
Process
Add a Q&A Template
Q&A templates let you send qualifying questions to bidders in an RFP. Bidder responses are used to qualify and compare bidders.
-
From the workspace left navigation, click Proposals, then click the Q&A Templates tab.
-
Click Add New Template.
-
Enter a Name for the template.
-
Click Add Questions. For each question, choose one of the following types:
-
Text Input — bidder types a text response.
-
Yes/No — bidder chooses one of the two options.
-
Dropdown — bidder chooses one option from options you define.
-
Multiselect — bidder chooses multiple options from options you define.
-
Number — bidder enters a numerical response only.
-
Attachment — bidder uploads an attachment as the response.
-
-
Toggle View on Bid Card to display the question and the bidder's response on the bid leveling comparison view.
-
To remove a question, click the trash icon next to it.
-
Click Save. The template appears on the Q&A Templates page and can be referenced during bid package setup.
Note: Templates are accessible to anyone in the workspace with an Administrator or Project Executive account type, or anyone assigned to the Proposal.
