How to Create a New Schedule
Learn how to create a new schedule from scratch.
Overview
The Schedule module lets you build a project schedule with milestones and activities, connect them to establish dependencies, and share the schedule with internal and external project members.
Prerequisites
-
When a project is created, the system automatically generates a Project Schedule. You can use this existing schedule as your working schedule, or create a new one using the steps below.
Process
Create a New Schedule from Scratch
-
Click Create New Schedule, then select From Scratch.
-
A blank schedule opens with view options for day, week, month, and quarter. A red line marks today's date.
Add milestones and activities
Milestones are identified by a flag icon in the Table view and a diamond in the Gantt view.
-
Click Add a Milestone at the top left of the schedule to add one.
Activities are identified by a lightning bolt icon in the Table view and a bar in the Gantt view.
-
Click Add an Activity at the top left of the schedule to add one.
Tip: Use Analytical Milestones to track milestones across multiple projects.
Connect activities
Drag and drop the dot next to an activity or milestone to establish a relationship:
-
Use the dot on the left as the Start Connection.
-
Use the dot on the right as the End Connection.
Red lines above an activity indicate that the activity is overdue.
